The Science and Technology Park of Castilla-La Mancha was born in December 2014 from the merger of the foundations that managed the science and technology parks of Albacete and Guadalajara with a regional vocation, integration and collaboration, so that these signs of identity are adapted to the real needs of the productive fabric that our autonomous community demands. The Board of Trustees of the Foundation is made up of the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha, the Provincial Councils of Albacete and Guadalajara, the Town Councils of Guadalajara and Albacete, the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha and the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares.
The main objective of the new entity is to create quality jobs, generate wealth and well-being for the citizens of this region and modernise the productive fabric of Castilla-La Mancha in order to face the new challenges posed by the knowledge society. In order to meet this challenge and achieve the desired economic growth and job creation, this new infrastructure will play a fundamental role, supporting and promoting scientific and technological development, while achieving a better and more efficient use of research.
