The SLECI system, a Self regulating Low Energy Claytube Irrigation method, consists of underground porous clay tubes that allow water to seep slowly, providing a consistent, controlled water supply to plant roots. This method targets the root zone directly, minimizing water waste and evaporation. It's simple and energy-efficient, operating without additional power sources. SLECI has shown substantial water savings, being up to 28 times more efficient than traditional drip irrigation, especially beneficial in cherry and nectarine cultivation.
