The Centro Nacional de Experimentación de Tecnologías de Hidrógeno y Pilas de Combustible (CNH2) is a national Research Centre, created in 2007 as a Public Consortium between the Ministry of Education and Science (currently Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities - MICIU) and the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha in equal parts, aimed at promoting scientific and technological research in all aspects related to hydrogen and fuel cell technologies, at the service of the entire scientific, technological and business community, at national and international level.
The objective of the CNH2 is scientific and technological research in all aspects related to hydrogen and fuel cell technologies, at the service of the entire scientific and technological community, nationally and internationally. This objective includes
- The use in the installation of the scientific advances achieved in national and international research groups.
- The transmission of the scientific knowledge achieved and its scaling for its application in useful technological developments.
-Research and demonstration of energy transformation processes using hydrogen as an energy carrier and its final application in all possible uses.
It also includes the use of the facility as a centre for the processes of testing, characterisation, homologation, certification, etc.
