The Community of Madrid is an autonomous community in Spain located in the interior of the Iberian Peninsula, on the Southern Submeseta of the Central Plateau. It shares borders with the provinces of Ávila and Segovia in Castilla y León, as well as with Toledo, Guadalajara, and a small part of Cuenca in Castilla-La Mancha. The Community of Madrid is a single-province community, and therefore, there is no provincial council. Its capital, Madrid, is also the capital of Spain.
