The Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (OEPM) is an autonomous body, attached to the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, which carries out the functions of receiving, studying and granting the different types of industrial property granted in Spain, except for plant varieties and designations of origin. The OEPM grants patents, utility models, trademarks, trade names, complementary protection certificates for medicines and phytosanitary products, topographies of semiconductor products and industrial designs.
