PhD in Materials Science and Engineering in 2015. Her doctoral thesis was awarded the Young Academics Steel Award by the German Association of Steel Producers (VDEh) in its inaugural edition in 2015. In October 2015, Irene joined the ArcelorMittal Global R&D group as a Research Engineer at the Center located in Maizières-les-Metz, France. Since March 2021, Irene has been a Scientist within the structure of ArcelorMittal Global R&D in Spain. Her work focuses on the development of innovative digital solutions applied throughout the product development and manufacturing chain. Additionally, Irene performs knowledge transfer functions and talent attraction in collaboration with various universities in Madrid.
