Born in Pamplona/Iruña, she holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of the Basque Country and has completed executive programs at business schools such as Instituto de Empresa, where she undertook the AMP program; PDD in digital economics at ESIC, and PDD Big Data for Business at UNIR. After her experience in the industrial and consulting sectors, her focus for the past two decades has been on entrepreneurship, innovation, and the development of new projects, primarily in the field of technology. She co-founded two companies: Orbetec360, dedicated to digital strategy consulting, and the Artificial Intelligence development startup, Tairel Data, S.L. Since joining the CEIN team, she has held various positions and responsibilities, eventually being appointed coordinator of the organization in April 2013, a position she has held to the present day. María is a member of the Board of Directors of ANCES, the national network of European Business and Innovation Centers. She is also an accredited mentor in various accelerators or programs such as AMEDNA (Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Navarra), Madrid+d, or "Women entrepreneurs under the ‘BIC Africa project’" by EBN –European Business & Innovation Centres Network-. She has also served as an advisor in entrepreneurship programs at the University of Navarra and the Public University of Navarra and as an associate professor in Commercial Management and Marketing at the latter (2018-2020). Furthermore, María is a frequent speaker in talks on entrepreneurship and business creation. Currently, she is also the vice president of the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Navarra. In 2021, the Government of Spain included the new CEO of CEIN among the leading women in entrepreneurship in the "Nación España Emprendedora" report.
