Professor Wei Huang is an elected Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, a Foreign Member of the US National Academy of Engineering, a Foreign Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, an Academician of the Asia Pacific Academy of Materials, a Foreign Fellow of the ASEAN Academy of Engineering and Technology Sciences, a Foreign Fellow of the Pakistan Academy of Sciences, and an Academician of the Eurasian Academy of Sciences. He has been recognized with numerous awards, including the second prize of the National Natural Science Award, the first prize of the Higher Education Scientific Research Outstanding Achievement Award (Science and Technology), the first prize of the Science and Technology Award of Jiangsu Province, the Scientific and Technological Progress Award of the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation, and the first prize of the Natural Science Award of the Chinese Institute of Electronics. Professor Huang is an eminent scientist in the areas of organic optoelectronics and flexible electronics. His research interests involve organic/plastic/flexible electronics, bioelectronics, nanomaterials, nanoelectronics, and polymer chemistry.
