Sustainable Business Models: Adaptation to Climate Change and Solutions for Energy Poverty and Responsible Consumption

Context:

Naturgy seeks to support up to 10 seed-stage entrepreneurial projects over six months that offer innovative solutions with a positive social or environmental impact in the energy transition. Through an incubation process, the talent and transformative capacity of entrepreneurs will be enhanced, facilitating their development. Additionally, relationships between society and the company will be strengthened through collaboration with Naturgy employees, who will contribute their knowledge through training, mentoring, and activities. Finally, one project will be selected to receive additional support of up to €25,000.

Opportunity:

Sustainable business models: in sectors that incorporate climate change adaptation and/or mitigation (SDG 13) transversally, present solutions to reduce energy poverty (SDGs 1, 7, and 10), and encourage more sustainable consumption patterns (SDG 12).

What Are We Looking For?

The third edition of the Connecting Energy Program is aimed at individuals or legal entities with innovative projects operating in the field of energy transition and seeking to generate a positive social or environmental impact. Projects must be driven by entrepreneurial teams that require support to develop their business plan, with at least one of the partners or founders committed to participating in all program activities. Teams of any nationality are accepted, provided their company is registered in Spain or commits to doing so. Projects with a prototype or minimum viable product, legally established, and/or that have received some form of recognition will be positively valued.
